Jules-Cyrille Cavé

1859–1946, Paris

The Parisian painter Jules-Cyrille Cavé, a pupil of William-Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury, first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1885. His works reveal his particular fondness for portraits of young girls, genre scenes and floral still lifes, although his artistic oeuvre also includes history paintings and religious and allegorical compositions.
