Jean-Michel Grobon

1770–1853, Lyon

Jean-Michel Grobon was a landscape painter, draughtsman and teacher at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. At the suggestion of his teacher, Jean-Jacques de Boissieu, he experimented with printmaking every now and then. Between 1795 and 1812 he made a total of six etchings, all but one of which were reproductions of his own paintings.
