Ange-Laurent de la Live de Jully

1725–1779, Paris

Ange-Laurent de la Live de Jully was an aristocrat of enormous wealth, art collector and etcher. From 1740 to 1748 Saly studied in Rome as a pensionnaire of the French Academy. Later he occupied the honourable court office of Introducteur des Ambassadeurs and one of the most important patrons of Jean-Baptiste Greuze.
