Pierre Paul Prud’hon

Pierre Paul Prud’hon was a draughtsman, designer of book-illustrations and painter of allegories, portraits and classical mythology. He won the Prix de Rome in 1784, and studied in the eternal city from 1784-88. From 1791 he regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon.
